On my skin this is a simple powdery violet. I wouldn't suggest it for teens. When I first smelled this perfume, I will admit I thought it was far too overpowering and too mature for me. I think it smells like a new car, with all those leather seats and stuff. Perfect for t-shirt and jeans or for tomboyish looks, which happened to be my style during my teenage. I haven't encountered more artificial scents than these ones. i won't be rebuying but it was nice while it lasted. It's the only perfume I would keep in my locker at school. I personally am a spice and sandalwood lover, and for such a feminine smell I am surprised at how much I love this! Smells so strong at first, but mellows out and stays on my skin the longest of any perfume I've had. Firstly, I love the packaging! Red Jeans has a bit of sweet and sour; it's fresh, fruity and floral. I like the Blue Jeans for men and I buy it often for the male relatives. I must say that lasting power is great, so people who love this should be pretty happy. etc. Who the flying fuck at versace gave the green light on this? This reminds me of the 00's I always wanted this as a 10 Yr old kid all my friends had it and the tap cold and hot scents its nostalgic but I hate the dry down so won't be purchasing it but it took me back to being 10 again when I smelt this today. You can easily notice its powdery and musky structure when main notes start to hit surface and perfume stays like that literally for hours. My mom had purchased me my first bottle as a gift and first time i sprayed and smelled it; i remember finding it very synthetic and kinda smelling like play-doh. I do like the sweetness about it though just wish it was softer and not such a masculine smell. Sweet, warm, like a hippie eating candy. Someone wrote that its like fruity shampoo and I agree, but there are other layers in this, too. After 6 months of testing I can finally say that this perfume can be alittle supported in really hot weathers otherwise it smells like molten plastic. On my skin I get this fizzy character which is why I call it soapy ( when a soap foams up) This has been my fragrance to spray on my clothes and skin before I go workout and its crowd pleasing. I get freesia quite clearly, and definitely the fruity scent of the peach-apricot accord. i prefer the blue jeans although it is for men it is very fresh and vivid! I gotta say tho Versace has style in design of this perfume bottle& the cute vintage metal tin this bottle comes in so freaking cute!!!! i've been using this perfume since i was a freshman in college (1997). I tried really hard. It's an under-$20 fragrance so for the price it's nice enough but I wouldn't re-buy it when I finish my current bottle. Ive recieved it as a present so I have used to use it at home or simply for casual daily situations. I maybe still have the can somewhere. It was one of my worst. In the 90s it always reminded me of gummibears when I smelled it on others. It does take me back to the early/mid 90's, and for that reason it makes me smile. A very playful and brisk openning, almost childish with very peachy notes according to me. I don't know if my mom used to wear it or if it smells like something in Germany or Italy, but it brings up memories of being there. This is the winner of the fruity contest. I am surprised how much I like it since I usually prefer less "sticky" sweetness. I don't dislike it, but I don't love it, yet it keeps calling me back like a forgotten friend. I do not perceive any of of the notes clearly, to me it's just a synthetically cloying smell mixed with rotten alcohol-soaked fruit. I picked it up to try it out, and gave it away as well. Red Jeans was the soundtrack of my teen years. Truly did not like this one. Agree with sweetnspicey; definitely peach shnapps-like quality. Defiently it can be worn daily and during all seasons. Can't believe I never reviewed this? So whenever I sniff it, I remember my mom. It brings back such great memories for me, which were all in the 90s living in LA.

This is one of my first fragrance purchases. In my opinion this is not a youthful fragrance as so many have indicated. It reminded me of the cheap perfumes we wore as kids. Horrible! Okay if this lasted it would be an okay perfume.the bottle alone ,id re buy,however i like Blue Jeans Versace alot better& its mens,but who cares id rather wear Blue Jeans& feel Blue Jeans lasts longer& is unisex powdery lemon vibe.. however this is about Red Jeans,lol,so its girly,peachy fruity peachy,fresh,harmless friendly vibeslightly sweet,i really get fruity peach,its okay,not something id wear only because it only lasts a few minutes& after a few minutes it totally disapears in my chemistry sadly,or i wouldnt mind only wearing this to run errands,store,etc.Versace other perfumes& colonge lasts ok,just not this 1. Very easy reach but as I'm more into niche, it's a bit unexciting but like I said, not a bad scent, quite likable. I can't put my finger on what it is, but it makes me feel sick. All I smelled throughout the hours I wore it was peach, peach, and rotten peach. I guess I was curious based on all the contradicting reviews and it was on clearance and now it's on my vanity and I'm giving it the side-eye from across the room. She gets compliments from EVERYONE! this should be called violet jeans because violets are where the sweetness comes fromthis is mainly a rose and violet scent outside of the initial spray which lasts a good 20 minutesi never get to the base notes of sandalwood, musk, and vanilla it seems to stay at the mid notes for hours until fadei really like this a lot but not too pleased with the first 20 minutes but the dry down is worth it.

Smells very clean , fresh, mix of light apricot and roses .I like this scent so much I found a dollar tree dupe of it called Red Wear , just for nostalgia .. Love it, I think Red Jeans is not everybody's cup of tea. I should have just trusted all the bad reviews. I hate this so much, I can't believe Versace made this. For now, I am blissfully happy. The base is composed of sandalwood, musk and vanilla. I agree that it is pretty synthetic- certainly not the worst I've smelled but I can completely get why people wouldn't be on board. What sets this apart from its contemporaries is its muted nature. I only have that one bottle - but if I see another Ill definitely grab it. I bought it because of the nostalgia - I had it when I was at the university circa 95-96 and I was excited to know that they produce it again in 2016. i love wearing this to the office, i love the sweet smells and this one meant to be sprayed on office jacket or linen and it will last long and smells better than sprayed on skin. I think the addition of freesia and waterlily give the floral notes a beautiful fresh edge. In its day this was the perfect summer holiday/weekend getaway fragrance that was meant for fun! I see that many reviews claim that Red Jeans was a high-school signature and has a 90s vibewell, since the perfume is out of production, maybe it went sour. I actually found a bottle of it - someone obviously agreed with my feelings and had left their bottle outside on their fence with a sign that said 'free'. Nothing incredible or fancy, not a safe blind buy. I can't put my finger on it, but this one smells and feels dated on me.

This is way, way WAY too sweet for me. It dries down to green notes and Lily of the valley reminding me of a very soft Eternity. Fact. In the fall or winter, you'll probably find me agreeing with the negative comments on how it's sickly sweet, too strong and has a cloying quality about it, when worn in close quarters. It doesn't develop much as it settles, it keeps steady throughout. Rose and violet mixed with sweet peaches and apricot on a sweet vanilla, musk and sandalwood base. In fact I hated the sweetness so much that it seemed to last longer than I wanted it to, but the reality is it lasts about 4-5 hours, and the dry down is bland too. I remember smelling this when it first came out and liking it, but when I got a sample recently that violet exploded in my face and smothered out everything else in this fragrance. Should I somehow summarize the spirit of this fragrance, to me it would be simply JOLLY and a little audacious (in a very healthy way). There are times when this gives me trouble breathing. It smells very rosy and kind of smoked. I do get a pleasantly sour apricot, but thankfully none of that residual, polluted feeling I can get with peach on a drydown. I can only use small amounts of this, which is a shame because the longevity isn't great. The result of this mixture is almost similar to the original "Pleasures", maybe somewhat stronger-less peppery, but very nice to wear. A pleasant powdery fruity floral. This is another go-to for me if I can't decide on what to wear. Its a no fuss, pretty, simple scent that I can wear with a dress, or jeans. I had this on the 90's and my mother always complained that I smelled like cigarretes.. so I had to give it away, and that wasnt hard, as this was not my kind f scent (very fruity, even for the 90's).
