Love em both. Pitching both tents is fast and fairly easy. Both tents handle rain beautifully, although when pitched in an actual puddle, the smaller dimensions of the aeon make it possible to get misted by splatter. The structure will withstand light to moderate snow loading but is not intended for true winter. The Pro Trail is a more sind-worthy design than was the Contrail. The 1-oz Dyneema flooring is tough and does not usually require a separate groundsheet as long as the ground is clear of sharp objects. This tent has many of the features from the Stratospire but paired down to a single pole support system with just enough room for you and your gear. We had to re-adjust our stake placements and re-tension guy lines many times before the tent felt satisfyingly bombproof.

On warm nights, you can take out the stake that holds the vestibule down and roll back both sides for a wide-open (but still bug-free) view of your surroundings.
