Our facilities, service, and amenities are among the best in Massachusetts. The only complaint I have is that the bunkers vary a lot with some too soft and some quite firm. We never post anything without your permission.

Former University of Oklahoma star Tripp Davis, now a renowned course architect of 20 years, is overseeing the renovation of the Tom Fazio design. The 7,100 yard layout combines existing topography, outlined by distinctive waste bunkers and naturalized areas. One of the main goals of the renovation was to improve the bunkers and waste areas.

I had the luck to play the Oaks course at International Club this past Sat afternoon. Its still worth considering this fourth-generation, privately owned public course in your Boston itineraries. The facility has a South Course as well, but one of our panelists reports that the conditions are a little spotty compared to the North nad the layout is inferior. Donald Ross' routing through tree-lined corridors is bold and adventurous, but also highly walkable, with nearly every green just a few short steps away from the next tee. The issues with no carts on some fairways was really not that bad.

Just became aware thru GolfNow that this course (the Oaks) is open to the public. Although it is considerably shorter than the club's original golf course, it is still a round that will formidably test your skills. Highly recommended. An extremely quirky 5,700-yard, par-70 named for the presidents Adams who hailed from Quincy, the club dates back to the 19th century.

Its a fun Donald Ross track you can play for $50-70, depending on day/time.

The 18 hole golf course has also won several awards and is recognised as the most accessible golf course in Bolton. The course is expected to reopen in Spring of 2024.

The best players in Massachusetts attempt to navigate the small greens for a couple amateur events in the state.

Golf is becoming an expensive hobby, but when you compare the experience (playing and otherwise) of The International to most other options in the Greater Boston area, you can't find many that can match its value. I found it in tough shape this time with greens that were pretty beat up, not just from aeration but other kinds if marks and scars. The new scalloped bunkering frames all of the holes, giving the player a perfect mental image of the holes routing.

The conditions were mediocre. Thanks to some tree removal and an effort to improve drainage, William J. Devine usually plays firm and fast and can be a fun challenge for players of all skill levels.

The original hole-by-hole diagrams hanging in the grill room (minus the 18th hole, presumably now gracing the wall of some golfers mancave) verify that almost every hole and every bunker are still as Ross first envisioned them. I've played a ton of courses, and this by far is one of the most fun layouts I've ever played. The practice bunker area is a bit rocky and it needs more sand. All bunkers have been redesigned and filled with crushed limestone, which has been mined locally.
