The red actually does show through somewhat.but it almost looks brown as if it is the wood of the cabinet. Has resumed its flight. Required fields are marked *. The buffet still needs a bit of whimsy painted on top and then a rooster will be painted on one cabinet door, and a hen & chick will be on the other. Well, I finished my piece that had been inspired by you!!! I saved the graphic to my computer, then save it to a thumb drive and have OfficeMax make the transparency to be used on the projector. This is soooo cute! I just used regular Elmers Carpenters Wood Filler. A dream come true! Great job! It makes me dizzy. ;) I did end up hand drawing some of the grapes area because it was hard to see with the projector. Love the graphic and colors you have choosen.such a transformation! But, I would say it was about half and halfleaning towards a little more Coco. With your help I have decided I am not a bad painter, just a bad translator, occasionally! I know I am already going to love it! You did a stunning job on this piece. It was a little rustic to say the least. Arent they lovely like this?? Don't Miss a Thing!! Two things. Such a unique piece now! But, heres what I do. Thank you! So, you can do it either way, it just depends on the look you are after. Beautiful wood detailing embossed and emphasized with distressing that has been done. And will stay this way foreverI think anyway! I have to say this was a fun one to watch transform in front of me. (white, brown, blue, black, etc). I love sideboards and buffets. the Chalk Paint would be less likely to do that, smudge, because it is more dry and chalky when dry.
