Has anyone tried the semi matte or matte finishes of Spraymax?

My experience is that this paint is safe to use in combination with Spraymax, because it doesn't react with it.

This stuff can cost you your health.

Quite frankly, I hate to go through the hassle of tearing down another playfield to mask for such a small area (between a quarter and 50 cent piece in size). looks like i'll be riding around on a plain white gelcoated airtech tail till spring. 4,836

Is there a temperature or humidity limit? It's super easy to use, there is no mess or fuss.

1st and 2nd were thick to fix a lot of planning in the wood.

The spray pattern was greatlayed down great and looked like glass. Colors seem to blend in with each other very well. With proper surface prep the results are amazing. 90 degrees, 90% humidity. The SprayMax 2K Auto Clear in a Can Club!

Stuff is great and so easy to use! I must have misread your post before then assuming you meant that you gotta get it super hot in the garage when you said that the hotter you can get it the better. It worked beautifully and left a perfect shiny, durable coat. 32

A friend of mine (an experienced auto body painter) sprayed Imron (clear) on a National brass cash register I restored; it turned out great. I then cleaned these parts thouroughly with naphtha and sanded them with a heavier grit.

The inherent heat of engine operation will also accomplish curing. Figure I will try a small test area first.

Next week looks better weather wise, it's pretty gross here right now lol.

Three coats of this stuff left a smooth, glossy finish with very little effort. Also, the final finish has so much less orange-peel to it than anything else I've used.

I am in contact with the manufacturer too hear if/what they have changed. I'm going to repaint another guitar and use the Spraymax 2k on it as well (the original guitar being talked about in this thread has been colored with dyes). Ive got an NIB playfield you could use some of that "wasted" clear on lol. The best advice (from me at least) is to read the instructions and follow them. After I took it down and laid it out on a table (so I could paint the other fender) it very clearly had fingerprint marks in the clear coat. These brass pieces have lots detail, crevices, etc.

This morning I went to move it again and more fingerprints appeared from where I grabbed it. There aint no pickle like a super pickle 74550, 76400F, 72 750 67S90, 68CL90, 65 s65 66 x6.

Make sure there is no snow or ice on them on the OUTSIDE , as this will cause condensation to drip on the INSIDE, I dont quite know why this happens but it does, I had a nightmare winter once, much to cold to spray in a barn in the country side that I rented, and every time I put the space heater on condensation dripped from tarp "roof" on to the car bodywork I was preppingwhen I looked outside there was ice on top of the tarps. I learned to be faster in the first place, point is you aint gonna get your garage as hot as an oven.How to stop yourself getting crazing or "cracking" in paint or laquer used on fibreglass over time (this is one for side panels and tail pieces) use a "plasticiser" in your mix, it is expensive, but it does what it says on the tin/bottle it keeps the paint flexible so is especially great for fairings that obviously flex in the wind and at speed, and side panels because they are flexed every time you take them off or put them on. -as many normal coats as it takes.

The paint flows a lot better at that temp too. I have seen this question asked a few times in this thread but don't recall any responses: For a 60's EM, the gloss is a bit to much for me, has anyone tried the semi gloss aka satin or the matte SprayMax on an EM playfield?

Is labeled to be used by professionals only. Just be absolutely sure the surface is flawless, and apply exactly as the directions state. Partly because of mylar removal.

I purchased two cans of SprayMax about a year ago for a project pin that did not end up happening.

I've clearcoated four of my machines with it, up until now. Looking at the next few days, it doesn't look like I'll see under 60% humidity, and high temps are around 90 degrees.

Gotta say this clear coat is awesome, simple, and fast. 0 Next fill the inserts, sand and repeat.

BUT, please adhere to instructions.

I've struggled to this point with filling in my cupped inserts and really need this next and last step to go smoothly. But also know that I should be sanding between coats to smooth it out and help each coat stick to the previouswhat do you do?

I can see the can now looks slightly different and I don't know if that has anything to do with my problem. That's what I did when I SM2K'd a Firepower I restored and made decals for.

Since this is a chemical reaction, the warm temp sped up the reaction to the point that micro bubbles got trapped in the finish and I had to sand them off and start over.

Its compatible with most other undercoating paints, but allow sufficient time for the uncmdercoats to properly cure and air out. I want the decals to stick well and look clear, so should I not sand before applying them?

i'm going to try and heat up my little redneck, homebuilt paint booth (2x4's and 4 super thick, clear tarps) with a space heater and my bank of big halogen work lights so i can get the paint and clear onto the airtech seat and the spraymax clear onto the tank and side covers, i know it doesnt REALLY matter since this is by no means a show bike but after working on it 2 years i want it to look like it.

I use the variety that has a very light elasticity, to prevent cracks or other damage from happening. How can I get this clear coat to dry so I can handle it properly without leaving finger prints in it? Use multiple thin coats and that should reduce any chance of pooling. I think I paid ~$20 per can plus shipping.

Don't forget to switch off your space heater just before you go on with the paint, and wait for the fumes to clear before you put it back on again, some solvents are flammable If you are using Tarps buckykat..I take it they are for a makeshift roof??
