P.S.
I was the only bride there and they made my day super special. David was awesome to work with during the planning; he was friendly and professional and kept the entire process drama free.
Our guests could not stop talking about how delicious everything was and how much food was offered in the cocktail hour. I loved the manor as soon as I walked in but what made it truly amazing were the people who own and run the place. Another slight drawback is their website. Your guests will definitely not leave hungry.
Sign up on The Knot to reach more couples and book more weddings! I felt like I had personal service and was able to customize the day to what we wanted. It was fabulous! Guests were raving about the venue and the food.
I can't say enough wonderful things about them.
So please, all you nervous wives-to-be. Pricing is SO reasonable and the cocktail hour food David and his team did an amazing job catering to our needs on the day of the wedding. People could not stop raving about it! In case of rain, the staff at the manor is ready to go with an indoor ceremony option too.. which luckily wasn't needed for my wedding. The staff is wonderful and happy and we loved them all. We picked it from a magazine as our first choice and stuck with it! I wanted to cut two courses from dinner and serve cake firstDavid gave us the green light! in northern New Jersey.
Dave was great with organizing and running everything the entire day. The photos of the ceremony site were actually Photoshopped to include a green meadow instead of the parking lot that actually existing next to the ceremony sit One of the best decisions my husband and I made was choosing Woodcliff Manor to hold our wedding reception on 10/16/10. I cannot say enough good things about the Woodcliff Manor. The Woodcliff Manor in Woodcliff Lake, NJ make our wedding day the most relaxing, most beautiful day this October.
For example, while we were taking family pictures, they had servers coming out with hors d'oeuvres to make sure we didn't miss out on everything. It is just out of this world. She was able to make everything for everyone's special requests (allergies and such). tting everything back on the right foot. David is truly one of the best people I have ever met. Our wedding exceeded all our expectations. The Manor exceeded all expectations we had for our wedding. It was just so beautiful. Thank you so much David, Gil, and Nancy! We got to take our time and reminisce and they didn't rush us. Insider tip: Pick the Harvest Chicken for your menu selection. The venue has a warm feel and the gardens are spectacular! you're part of the family.
I loved this place from the beginning! All because David cared about our wedding and the details of it!
Thank you all so much for making my day so special and wonderful! Oh my god. There is a beautiful fountain, flowering vines, and evergreen trees all over. A couple that came to our wedding actually booked the Woodcliff Manor for their own wedding this November, because they fell in love with it at our wedding. I will and have recommended to all of my friends. Everyone also loved the ice cream sundae bar at the end of the night. After expressing some of my concerns with David in regards to my negative experiences with Gil, he gave me his cellphone number so I could directly deal with him. The food-I have no words to describe how incredible the food is! All our guests loved how cozy the place felt and raved about the food. david and Gil were working like crazy to make sure we had an alternate indoor space set up just in case but also prepared the outdoor area as well and worked with us up until the last minute to get the ceremony outside in between rain showers!
At one point during cocktail hour I was trying to eat one handed (like you do when you're the bride) and Gil came up and took my plate and cut my turkey in to manageable bites so I could eat and mingle. My husband and I are not really into marble halls or more generic type wedding event places.
Honestly, it could not have been more amazing. The Woodcliff Manor is so gorgeous that I fell in love with it immediately when I visited, after having been to at least 4 other places. The staff at Woodcliff meticulously decorated their venue and worked with us every step of the way. They also provided a television to play a slideshow of our beloved dad. I wanted to leave a positive review based on the experience I had when visiting this venue to potentially have my wedding there. The place is family owned and my god do they bend over backwards. David, Gil, and Nancy were all wonderful to do business with; they were very willing to discuss anything we needed. My relatives are all about the open bar and the service and selection was excellent. every one of my many questions and requests, accommodating every single one of our guests requests, and using the decorations we brought to make the venue look drop dead gorgeous for the event, they were just amazing. The outside gardens and patio area are beautiful. Working with David, Nancy, and Gil was probably my favorite part of wedding planning.
I got married here on October 1st. If I could give more than 5 stars I would. He answered every question and granted every strange request.
Very pleased with this decision. The venue staff made the reception and the ceremony grounds beautiful. It needs to be updated. We sincerely hope you have as wonderful as an experience. The bar service was efficient and friendly and guests were never kept waiting for drinks. Woodcliff Manor not only made it easy to plan for the wedding, they went above and beyond and took care of things we didn't even think of. They made sure every single aspect of our wedding was perfect: from getting us through our outside ceremony early minutes before a rainstorm hit, answering Not to be dramatic, but when I die, please spread my ashes at the Woodcliff Manor lol. I cannot recommend the Woodcliff Manor enough. We did not do our ceremony on site, but they have lovely grounds (great for photos) and a gazebo for ceremonies. There was nothing that couldnt be handled day of and we would definitely recommend them for a perfect wedding!! I highly recommend the Woodcliff Manor for all weddings or any event! The prepared the ceremony for both outdoor and indoor. Oh, which brings me to another point!
David was available by phone or email, and always responded to me immediately with great input or ideas.
My guests raved about the food from the cocktail hour that many people thought was the actual dinner, especially the pumpkin soup with grilled cheese and the beef wellington. uld get married any where else! The Woodcliff Manor is such an intimate and wonderful place.
The grounds are beautiful and the Manor is big and cozy. nd Nancy makes the most AMAZING food. Do not let my experience with Gil discourage you from using the manor because everything else about it is top notch. They took care of the setup and made sure everything went smoothly for both the ceremony and reception.
Everything went perfectly. I am so glad we had our wedding here! David was our main contact.
Woodcliff Manor is perfect for a cozy and comfortable wedding! Now let's get to the food. he service was top notch, and all our guests were raving about the food. photos don't really do it justice. Gil on the other hand was not my favorite person to deal with. The entire wedding party received royal treatment, including drink service and first dibs on the delectable hand-passed hors d'oeuvres, while taking pictures in the beautiful gardens. David and his team were very responsive to us during our wedding and made sure we were updated and fed throughout the entire wedding. Worked out every detail with us and the food was the BEST food We've been craving the salmon and steak, mashed potato bar, for over We recently had a repast meal at the Woodcliff Manor and Gil, Dave, and Nancy were fantastic. Not only were they the most reasonably priced, they were the most accommodating and wonderful people to work with! They worked with our other vendors really well. Also, while the bridal party stayed after to take more pictures, the staff came out to bring us passed appetizers and drinks the guests were enjoying inside during cocktail hour. I had my wedding ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception here and everything was great!! The wedding planner, Dave, is incredible. nly a truly seasoned staff can deliver.
For example, we had a child-friendly wedding, and he thoughtfully offered to provide simple buffet food for the children who may snack all day but not sit for an entire meal. If we could go back in time, we would surely pick Woodcliff Manor all over again.
Stalls are very small and dont lock.
I would wholeheartedly recommend this venue to anyone in North Jersey. I think they are perfect. We definitely recommend this family owned restaurant! Even though we had to make small changes in plans. If we had an idea they didn't think would work, they offered us alternative suggestions that were more practical without forsaking any of the effect that we were going for. I was in contact with Dave mostly and he was always professional and accommodating. She also was great in accoomodating last minute diet changes for my father. The dinner and desserts are just as wonderful- the cookies are moist, not dry.
Not only is the atmosphere warm and welcoming, the food is incredible! The food is delicious; all of our guests were raving about how much they enjoyed everything. The staff was amazing and so accommodating to every need! Couples can say I do under its pavilion with loved ones arranged on the manicured lawn. David, Gil, and Nancy were all so genuine, helpful, and kind throughout the entire process. Everyone here really knows their stuff to make your event go as smoothly as possible! I look forward to having other events there in the future. The food is excellent and the service is exceptional. To David and the Manor staff: thank you for a beautiful day. The Woodcliff Manor held an outstanding wedding for our friends on Sunday January 18th, 2015.
But we stayed at the Marriot just 10 minutes away and had no further issues with that. They were extremely accommodating and the staff is very friendly and helpful!!! I would stop by unannounced with random family members and he'd drop everything with a smile to show us around.
And it is groomed personally by Gil, one of the owners. Everything couples need for an unforgettable night is here to avail of, including furniture rental, lighting, and a sound system. Attended a wedding and the chairs were dirty, toilets didnt work. This leafy suburb is renowned for its collection of historic buildings, of which the manor is amongst the most treasured. David also cued the bridal party to walk down the ceremony, down to the reception room, and coordinated with the DJ the day of.
The inside was cozy without being either too large or small. Now were just hoping to attend someone elses wedding there so we can enjoy the cocktail hour without running around for photos! As a contingency, they set up ceremony seating and an altar inside the manor; and it was beautiful and seamless nonetheless. The food was amazing! As we went around greeting the guests at their tables, the staff asked us when we thought we would be sitting down, so we would even be served a hot meal! We were living in Virginia at the time, so you could imagine the difficulty with planning a wedding many states away, but David made it all so simple and stress free.
I am actually ashamed at how much I managed to shove into my face considering how little time I had to sit.
I love the colonial manor/doll-house type feel of the inside, and the twinkle lights in the outdoor cocktail hour space. You cannot go wrong with Woodcliff Manor for your wedding (or any event for that matter)!
The family that runs the manor could not have been nicer and were willing to go above and beyond. I would not recommend this venue to anyone looking to have a remotely classy wedding. The staff presents a range of services with pride, including extensive catering options.
David really helped work out all of the little touches to make our event personal without trying to constantly upsell. I had the Chateaubriand, ginger crusted salmon, and Chicken Francese as choices. s!! They really do think of everything! Founded Upon History for The Start of Your Future, Bar & Drinks, Cakes & Desserts, Food & Catering, Planning, Rentals & Equipment, Service Staff, Transportation, Shuttle Service. I loved the Woodcliff Manor!
Ana B. t married on the property and the decorations on the gazebo were amazing. One thing I was told by many friends is that you never get to eat at your own wedding. Everything went so smoothyl, thanks to Dave! Thank you so so much for an unforgettable day! This is a warm and inviting family-owned business. David, the manager, was an absolute pleasure to work with - extremely accommodating, as well as overly patient (we brides aren't easy!) David was so easy to work with.
And a night that many are saying was 1 of the best weddings they've been too!
The way they were able to turn area we had our ceremony to the reception while we were at cocktail hour really speaks wonders to their logistical ability. My family and friends are still raving about Woodcliff Manor! Pies instead of wedding cake?
We did not feel like we were "just another wedding.". David and his made sure we had the most perfect special day and we appreciate it so much.
