- I had no idea how to cut a 52 degree angle (my miter saw only goes to 45/50). They should be evenly spaced- about 8 5/16" apart.

I just built it today and it came out amazing! Set second X piece along side first, and mark where the two pieces cross. shorturl.at/aoMTU. You'll notice the fir 22's used in this project really took the solution well.

It won't immediately turn colors, but over a few hours you'll notice a considerable difference.

Love it! Attach the lower 22 1/2 24 rails on each end.

Will you please put in my vote for an "end table size version" of this "Farmhouse Coffee Table"? Using wood glue and 1 1/4" pocket hole screws, attach the boards to the side panels. To cut the 60 degree angle for the X support you will need to make a jig similar to the one below. Im a first time DIY-er and loved how easy to follow this plan was !

Hi Ana, I made this as my first ever project and it looks gorgeous, so I wanted to thank you for putting out the plans and super detailed instructions with the video.

Use wood glue and 1 1/4" grabber screws to attach the plywood end panels to the 4x4 corner posts. Apply the 1st coat of polyurethane to the entire table. Then take 2 1/2 kreg screws and attach the side rails to each 24 end piece. Apply glue to top edges of coffee table frame, and place coffee table frame upside down on the tabletop boards. Drill pocket holes in the ends of all the 1x2's. I've been looking, but the ones I've found require pocket holes.

The top rail's pocket holes can face inside the table or to the ground. A vinegar and steel wool mixture will distress your wood and give it more of a barnwood look. Using wood glue and 1 1/4" pocket hole screws, attach the frame you just built (19" x 11") to the 4x4 frame posts. The mixture reacts with the tannins in the wood to bring out grey and black colors. In reply to I attempted this as my first by SuperGeorge. From 1/2" plywood, cut your bottom support- 17.5" x 20.5" (it would be wise to measure your space first). Think this is it, love it :)

Once your wood filler is dry, sand with 120 grit sandpaper until the table top is smooth. Center it and then screw through the bottom of the 22 into the table top with 2 1/2 torque screws. To dilute simply add more white vinegar at anytime. Then, using wood glue and 1 1/4" pocket hole screws, attach the 11" pieces to the 36" pieces to form 2 rectangles.

Cut the angle at 30 degrees on your miter saw (it will actually cut it at 60 degrees because of your jig. Just finished building this!

Once your coffee table base and table top are finished and dry, attach them together using hinges. I will get the side table plans posted in the next couple of days for you. Make sure to have the lower rail's pocket holes facing the floor so you'll be able to attach the shelf to them later. Note that you will drill the two boards on each side into the center. Hi Ana, I am wanting to make this table but would like it to have another 2x6 on top so it is 28" wide, to do this would I just add on 6 inches to all the pieces of the frame that go width wise? Drill pocket holes in both ends of each board. It also brings out the grain and distresses the wood.

I did however use 2x2s for the end table. This should make them nice and square, so they fit together without any gaps or rounded edges.

The back 14 rests flat on the miter saw fence.

By and by an engaging design could be exhibited and the most attractive distinction with past styles was the cushioned square shoulders, which are a sort wholesale cover up of image for these years: a lady needed to persevere and required more extensive shoulders to convey the heap. TIP: Screws attached at a slight angle will help strengthen this joint. Going to stain it tomorrow then put it together. I will likely build at least two more night standand/or end table versions of this plan. I ended up having to pre-drill all my holes.

Once the second coat has dried take a sanding block with 400 grit sandpaper and lightly sand all areas you've poly'ed.

How to Make a Vinegar/Steel Wool Solution: Put a handful of steel wool in a plastic cup and add vinegar. The other boards had a little coloring and grain enhancement, but white pine doesn't have many tannins in it so it is less reactive. Mine did this at first too. The plan was easy to follow, and it came out so much better than any of the $600 coffee tables we looked at in furniture stores!

Simply slide the bottom into place on top of your supports. Then stain or paint and finish with a polyurethane. Learnt one or two things that should will be helpful going forward.

I actually used 2x4s for the Xs on my coffee table. Stain I used Walnut Minwax Yes! We just added the matching Farmhouse Console Table plansand teh matching Farmhouse Side Tables plans (in two size options) here. In this step take your 22 rails that are 41 long and drill 2 pocket holes on each end using a Kreg Jig.

What type of Miter saw do you recommend and will a 10 inch do the job or does it have to be a 12 inch Miter saw? The second piece should be attached as shown from top.

Be sure to measure the final product and adjust accordingly.

If you are planning to paint or stain, make sure you get the paintable or stainable kind. You can secure it in place with brad nails or screws if desired. Ana you did such an amazing job with the instructions and the video was so helpful too!
