Nevertheless, its well worth exploring the markets heady mix of clothes, jewelry, souvenirs, handicrafts, artwork, and more, and its a fun place to hang out, with lots of food stalls, clubs, and live music nights. Close to San Antonio, which is one of the top party places in Ibiza, Port dEs Torrent is a little-known gem and a peaceful haven. This elite spot might be a little expensive but it is more than worth it for the electric vibes and a chance to dance with the tones of the most famous DJs on the planet.

If you are looking for a chill night this might also be the perfect spot as they stay open late and you get to enjoy live music with your food, drinks and views.

In terms of where to stay in Ibiza with family, the islands third-largest resort boasts calm seas, water sports and a picturesque promenade for easy strolling.

A more budget-oriented accommodation is the Hostal Juanita with clean and spacious rooms (see photos here) right in the centre of the town.

This should reassure anyone struggling to find accommodations in their desired area in high season; wherever you end up, whether its an idyllic rural agriturismo (farm stay) or a hotel that throws daytime pool parties, you can find a completely opposite experience within minutes. The question is not only where to stay in Ibiza to party wildly, but also what are the best areas for couples, or with great beaches and for families too. However, while the clubs might be the areas most famous attractions, theres more to discover, including a buzzing food and drinks scene with some of the islands best restaurants and world-class shopping in and around Santa Gertrudis a must for anyone wanting to leave with something authentic, chic, or unique. This affordable 2 bedroom villa with a direct view over Playa Cala Vadella. This charming 1 bedroom house with impeccable design, 1km from the beach. However, you have also the choice to spend the evening, and night, in the more lively and charming old town. Southern Ibiza is arguably where the Island is at its most romantic and languid. It is also a great place for couples who want to explore nature while on their trip. This relaxing hideaway features Ibiza holiday resorts stretched around a crescent-moon shaped beach.

The charming village is surrounded by luxury villas and panoramic views across to the island of Formentera.

If you love to step off soft sands for snorkelling in crystal clear water, base your Ibiza vacation in Es Figueral. Walk to the top of the cliff to get a birds eye view of the dazzling azure waters of Cala San Vicente. At the heart of the island, Santa Gertrudis is a hip destination surrounded by tradition and plenty of galleries, craft shops and atmospheric cafes. Meanwhile, Sa Talaia is the islands highest peak and offers good hiking possibilities, and there are the cerebral joys of the Stonehenge art installation and the hippy pilgrimage Atlantis.. One of the best beaches, in this case, is Cala Portinatx.

To get around the island, there are regular buses to other parts of the island such as Portinatx, Cala San Vicente, Sant Antoni de Portmany, and more. And all this within just a 10-minute drive of the airport.

Where to Stay in Portinatx: Six Senses Ibiza offers a stylish retreat in a sustainable environment. It is a beautiful spot with clear water, clean sand and enough seclusion that you truly get to enjoy each others company. Some of them, like Playa den Bossa, offer also a unique nightlife, beside a gorgeous beach. One of the most popular of these night clubs is Ushiaia.

I usually rent my cars on DiscoverCars.com, a website that compares the offers from all the major rental companies providing the best prices (read bargain prices).

The location is perfect as you will have access to many of the towns attractions and nightlife hotspots. While here, Grupotel Beach Resort would be the best place to stay as a couple (see photos here). However, Santa Eulalias laidback vibe is worlds away from the islands nightclub strips.

However, the two towns below have some great advantages.

During the day, take in the views of San Antonio Bay, catch ferries from the marina to explore and soak up the rays on nearby beaches.

It has some of the islands most famous and enduring superclubs like Es Paradis, as well as bars, including the ever-popular Sunset Strip favorites Cafe Mambo and Cafe del Mar. For contemporary tounge-in-cheek kitsch, head across the road to Sluiz. From snorkelling and paddle boating to surf lessons and jet skiing, there is no doubt that your family will have fun. Theres more boutiques to peruse in town, but do not leave the area without experiencing bohemian concept megastores Sluiz and La Galera Elefante just outside of town (a 2-minute drive away).

If youre staying central, this is a fantastic option.

The beautiful hotel (see photos here) has amazing boutique vibes both inside and outside. With all this and the abundance of night clubs and discos, the party truly never ends in the fiesta district of Ibiza.

Featuring 3 bedrooms, 4 bathrooms, a pool, jacuzzi and outdoor kitchen, youll be hard-pressed to leave! This expansive 5 bedroom property with a pool and garden is ideal for large groups. As the market grew in popularity (it draws up to 20,000 people on Saturdays), it inevitably became more corporate: many stallholders accept credit cards and theres an online store.

When travelling with younger kids to Ibiza, it is best to find a place that is super quiet mellow to help keep them calm and cooperative.

It only costs 3.50, and takes around 20 minutes.

With a range of great hotels in Ibiza for all budgets, Es Canar is an all-rounder for a holiday by the sea.

When it comes to the night scene, it may not be as lively as San Antonio or Playa den Bossa but it still has a lot to offer.
