Spend and an afternoon here, you wont regret it. Poor value for the money. Course was in the best shape we have ever seen it. The bunkers were non-starters; not treated, no sand and we didn't even try to play from them, I told my guys to take it out (rake and re-drop wasn't helping). The main problem with this course is maintenance. The staff is extremely friendly and attentive. Upon arrival all players must check in with a staff member at the window on the golf course side. The total yardage for 18 holes is 3,985 and with a Par of 63. First things first: I've played here before, and I've never seen the place "dry" but this is because of when I've played, so I don't fault the course for that. We had almost no wind and minimal bugs (which is rare). The views and scenery are great. Whats more, it follows the equally demanding 262-yard, Par 4 8th hole which features an island green. Double rider gas carts are again the standard. The rooms we stayed in (condos) were great, roomy, full kitchen ,and perfect for hanging out. We are openseven days a week; open play is available except during league play, private outings and tournaments. It measures just over 6800 yards from the back tees, bunkers guard several parts of the course peripheryadding to the challenge but also protecting from lost balls, too. If you have 90 minutes to spare, Twin Lakes Golf Course is a great place to get in a quick round of golf early morning, mid-day or after work. I won't play there again. We were very pleased with the wonderful, courteous staff! Will return again definitely. My job has allowed me to travel the country and enjoy hundreds of courses. The tee shot on 15 is getting crowded too, which is too bad, it is a nice elevated tee-ball that floats in the air for a while - but plugs upon landing. We caught up to a fivesome on hole 10 that was playing out of four bags that really slowed us up. Could be a great course. Fairways were very nice. Very fun curse to play. The back moves across more interesting landscape and I enjoyed this more (even if I played it worse). The course rating is 71.2 and it has a slope rating of 132 on Bent grass. Some of the greens are nicked up pretty bad and I fixed at least 4 ball marks on each one. Overall nice course, greens were somewhat beat up, but it has rained a ton and I can see flooding being an issue for some greens. Any level of player will enjoy a round here. 2022 Golf Courses, Nineveh, IN We only lost a few balls. We had a great time and enjoyed the variety of holes and water challenges. (One of my fav places to get a Bloody Mary.) The front nine of this course needs some work on the cart parts as they are very rough, pot holes, roots causing bumpy conditions. The greens got mowed each day, pins moved. The front plays through a flatter routing, and brings in the creek a few times, offering some risk/reward holes. To give a fair evaluation I hope to play again when dry. Weather was great but the course needed a lot of TLC. Water water everywherethe place just doesn't drain well, period. Course was in good condition, though the bunkers dont have much sand but didnt pose a problem for us. We had a hot and dry July then it rained off and on for a few days leading up to our trip. The fairways were tight through the tree lined fairways and the elevated shots throughout the course provided great views and a change of scenery from what we are typically used to. I plan to return to this course in the future! The Par 5s are all pretty gettable, so that's fun. Saltcreek is a gorgeous course with different challenges from the front 9 versus the back.
