So yesterday I bought and EDT on
So yesterday I bought and EDT one and oh my.. Over that, though, is a light citrus, some pineapple, and abstract florals, in which I mainly detect iris. Chance Eau de Toilette by Chanel is a Chypre Floral fragrance for women. This is the sort of perfume I associate with a crisp, freshly ironed white shirt, slightly opened; small earrings and your hair put up. They way too heavy. I like it. Try it if you want to smell like old money , It's definetely a "must have" from Chanel(as well as Coco Mademoiselle eau de parfum).I never get bored of smell <3. Chanel and Chance sound so similar as if they were created for each other. I just didnt want to keep both. 10 product ratings - CHANEL CHANCE EAU TENDRE Twist & Spray EDT Set 3 X 20 ml NEW SEALED, 3 product ratings - Chanel Chance Eau Tendre Eau de Toilette Twist And Spray 3 X .7 Ounce. Very modern and high class smell. There is something just irritant at the EDT, I don't know what it is, but my nose can't take it! For Eau tendre, or offer me something. Smells expensive and classy -- I love wearing this to fancy dinners and parties. Great daytime scent for the office or a stroll around a park. I was attracted to the beautiful box and bottle. I will swap new 50ml bottle I received for Christmas ( one tiny spray)still in box, no cellophane. THIS is my favourite perfume on a girl, my next girlfriend will hopefully smell like this! I get the pineapple however that is soft on me. I did not like Eau Fraiche at all though. I will love Chanel Chance edt to the end of my life. It's sharp and lasts a REALLY long time. Not a safe blind buy imo. The patchouli in this is not bad though. At this moment she is using EDP and it smells amazing on her. I decided that this would be a perfect scent as I would be working with children and didn't want anything too strong or overpowering. One of my roommates from over 10 yrs ago got this as a gift from her boyfriend- at the time I thought this scent was too mature for me and my wheelhouse of fragrance- the patchouli was a bit overwhelming to me at the time-however, I do recall how it would linger in our duplex and always left a trail- i did notice how the fragrance shifted the vibe and tone of our living space- there was such a richness to the scent- it smelled expensive, classy, seductive and romantic- there was something old school yet very modern about the fragrance-, This is one of the few Chanels that doesnt have your old grandmother scent. This ones a bit stronger, but with just as clean of a smell. That mix sounded odd. This smells like champagne and patchouli. Perfect for everyday. It's just that it's not original enough to take a place on the top shelf. Chance edt owns a special place in my heart because it was the perfume I used during my pregnancy.
To say it is multi-faceted is an understatement! I bought it for the pink pepper and citrus combo, but im getting more pineapple, iris, jasmine and musk. Its jewel for me. I wanted to wear a fragrance that inoffensive and a little fresher than I usually wear. Starts green than gets powdery. The dry down is beautiful jasmine. The eau de toilette is one of my all time favorites. Rather, this one is light and a huge burst of patchouli that is fresh, modern, and great for a Spring or Summer day.
Pretty darn good deal. A fresh opening with zesty lemon and juicy pineapple followed by hints of jasmine and hyacinth.
\'Chance is a tornado the door open to adventure and unknown, just like lips ready for a kiss.\'. I felt dizy and sick! I was curious if there is any difference between the older bottle and the new bottle, so I sprayed 1 sprit on each arm to test them out. A lot of people could wear this, even though it seems targeted towards the younger market. Classic, beautiful and understated. It's light and fizzy. I like the fact that is sweet without being overly sweet still remaining classic. It just smells like urine!!! Hiacynth! The EDP lasts a bit longer, but not much. Unfortunately it does not work on me: it becomes masculine ans aftershave-like. I think this could be worn all year round but definitely spring and summer. When I saw it I was ready to send it back and exchange for my first choice. I compared the EDP to the EDT, and found the EDP less strong -- maybe smoother/softer. I'll get lucky today. Its easy to say it comes from the house of Chanel. It simply does not do justice to Chanel and pales in comparison with Coco Mademoseille. It's an absolutely genius composition. Why would anyone want to smell like patchouli? It has just the right amount of complexity, not too floral, not too much patchouli. Signature worthy . To me this smells like something you either love or hate, it really has to suit you.
I wish the projection was slightly better but I love the scent enough to wear it anyways as the warmer months are upon us! It was a blind buy for me and I didn't like it at all on the initial spray. This one reminds me of a champagne. A wave of extreme freshness meets with the flowery notes and continues with sensual spicy composition. (Can't say I noticed the pineapple scent though?) When i read the notes on here a few weeks ago I kept thinking that they cannot be listed right. And now the secret is revealed - I tried EDT version but bought EDP! Nothing special. Edp is much heavier and more muscaline. Still peppery patchouli, but oh so subtle in the background now. A real girl girls scent. Just because is Chanel!?NO. L'Instinct, the New Flanker of Habit Rouge by Guerlain, Dusita Montri: Fragrance Review & Musings on Classicism. Chance is sweetly earthy, with a patchouli base common to other Chanel releases. My boyfriend describes this fragrance on me as, a beautiful woman, walking down a grand flight of stairs into a ballroom. Top notes are Patchouli, Pink Pepper, Pineapple, Hiacynth and iris; middle notes are Lemon, Jasmine and Rose; base notes are Patchouli, Musk, Vetiver and Vanilla. Versatile. More green, peppery and zingy than anything. This scent have something rareit must be hyacinth . But I think it's a romantic scent, terrifically blended in true Chanel tradition, and surely suitable for any age. Everything I loved about CM is present and everything I hated about CM is gone in this fragrance. I already own quite a few patchouli perfumes now to get familiar enough with it and the one used in this fragrance is totally different. This perfume is a sweet combination of lemon and pineapple on my skin. The guy was like, what smells so good? People who know this scent will compliment me when I wear it. Way more niche and classier than the many niche fragrances around.. niche to me is better quality and the ability to detect different notes separately as opposed to a linear extremely blended concoction and Chance definitely gives me that.
This babe is precious. Patchouli? But this is by no means a sweet perfume if that makes sense. A masterpiece. This is very weak now as early reviews report. Just got myself a partial bottle and I will probably like this. She's a beauty and it's a flirty, pretty version of your average citrus florals. When the bottle was empty, my longterm relationship at the time has ran its course and I kind of avoided rebuying because - scent memories. I used to have EDP and it was so heavy and patchouli were overwhelming. The patchouli is heavenly! Pleasant fragrance. At first I quite liked this. Not sexy to me just plain old boring. So uplifting, maybe it's the hit of hyacinth that I love so much, and the jasmine. I just bought 35ml limited edition yesterday. ;). I don't get any of the patchouli or spiciness that some people get. The Pink pepper & pineapple combo is FABULOUS! Patchouli, pineapple, lemon, (all favorites) with that Chanel touch. I adored the pineapple. Men absolutely LOVE this fragrance. This one didn't work for me, I got a mishmash of notes that just smelled like a generic lotion on my skin. First time I didn't get anything from it so took me a few months to give this another try and that day I kept smelling myself trying to understand that beautiful delicious, youthful smell. Sometimes it almost borders on unisex but it's still so feminine and chic. It seems as though people either love this or hate it. Nothing special but smells nice. It's fine, but nothing I would purchase if I hadn't have got it as a gift. Idk if the bride would want to wear this, perhaps they would want something more exotic, but certainly as a guest it's perfect. I wasted my money on this one. If I sniff my wrists closely, it's there but sadly someone standing as close as a few inches won't be able to smell it! Copyright 1995-2022 eBay Inc. All Rights Reserved. She had about 1/3 of a bottle left and said that she thought it smelled like something I would wear so I gladly took it off her hands. I love Chance Eau Fraiche and it never really crossed my mind to purchase the original Chance, I've smelt it and I liked it but I never really thought "I need a bottle" until recently. It is definitely a watered down version of the older bottle. The start is more fresh. Too sharp, cologney, and bitter. This scent seems to get dismissed as a "young" scent, and it certainly will have a broader appeal to include a contemporary demographic compared to its spicer and more complicated Chanel cousins. It is such a light yet feminine perfume. Its a grown up casual day to day scent. There seems to be a problem serving the request at this time, {"modules":["unloadOptimization","bandwidthDetection"],"unloadOptimization":{"browsers":{"Firefox":true,"Chrome":true}},"bandwidthDetection":{"url":"https://ir.ebaystatic.com/cr/v/c1/thirtysevens.jpg","maxViews":4,"imgSize":37,"expiry":300000,"timeout":250}}. My mom bought a bottle, and I used to sneak into her bathroom to spray someLove it ever since! The eau fraiche version, which is a bit more green, lasts a little longer. I loved the starting note, however, the fragrance is very limited! I've always been addicted to Chanel fragrances and the love affair began in my teenage years. I have the largest (150ml) bottle of this that is fresh and hardly used for a fair price. The price goes up over the years, yet the quality goes down. It's a pure pleasure. Thumbs up! Fragrantica Trends is a relative value that shows the interest of Fragrantica members in this fragrance over time. The price is high but the quality is no longer impressive . This is the OG and the younger smelling Coco Mademoiselle. The EDP is stronger and more masculine leaning. This is long lasting but the sillage is close to skin with heavenly dry down. The brown sugar really brings out the pineapple that I couldnt smell before!
The aldehydes in n5 to be precise. It's a safe embrace, but not boring. A simple fragrance with a Chanel touch indeed, mostly a patchouli floral with a touch of pepper and musk. I'm suprised so many people seem to wear this. Unisex. I understand why patchouli lovers are appealed to this but, please, if you like and use this one, DO NOT OVERSPRAY. I dont particularly like either Mademoiselle or Chance but I would not dream of making personal insults against people that wear them, The words that describe this fragrance best is "Simply beautiful" or "Beauty in simplicity". My late father's last Christmas gift to me. It's pretty, feminine, playful yet office appropriate. To me the opening smells like a realistic citrus perfume - reminding me of a summer in Italy. Once I get past that I find it a nice fresh floral, good for spring and summer but I personally wouldnt wear it in cooler weather. I found this Chance unisex yet sophisticated. I wanted to test it because my friend uses this one. I was 16 when it was released, and it was love at first smell. This has a strong peppery note and then it has something very Chanel. Very much a patchouli scent. This has all of the same classic and timeless elements while still having a relevant, youthful quality to it. I have a love and hate relationship with this one, until I figured the one I like is the EDP and always had the EDT! I definitely want the eau de parfum for the fall and winter time. This is eternally youthful perfume.
Theres so many I like more than this now and from the Chanel lineup Id much rather have Coco Mademoiselle, Eau Premiere or No 5 Leau. I'm battling so much right now not to go and spritz just thinking about it, so I've put another perfume on to deter me. Pink pepper! It's a little bit similar to Coco Mademoiselle, but with a different twist. I could just cut & paste my review of Coco Mademoiselle here for this huge disappointment. Chance ,on the other hand is also serious, but more approachable. I'll just add some personal experience with my 2003 bottle. I think coco mademoiselle is playful, yet serious and unapproachable. From your spicy bite of pink pepper to your sweet blooms of jasmine and iris, I'm in love!! It's so funny reading that this is a teens fragrance. It's effervescence is addictive.. Shades of Knowing, Aromatics Elixir, some of the Balenciagas and Halston Classic for Women perhaps. Even how some scent did not please to me straight off I put aside blotter , and the morrow beautifully smelt.. Again, tested it at an acquaintance's bathroom.
How very wrong I was! Caught this by accident whilst shopping and tried a tester, I was immediately hooked, it's sophisticated, fresh and sharp, I really think there's a hint of mint in this which gives it that crisp clean smell, I always feel a million dollars when I wear it. The Jasmine really stands out on my skin as well, which I love. It takes time to fall in love with the patchouli Chanel Chance but once you are in love, it is the love of your life.
A spicy union is detected that is not very pronounced but leaves its seal here. The earthiness of the patchouli keeps it from being too young or casual. I see other Chanel rather clumsy and too earthy to be worn every day, but Chance fits glamour and cotton t-shirt equally. Heavy silage, lasting for 8 hours + on my skin. But girls who have it and don't wear it often, I am here to tell you a secret. I actually regretted I hadn't applied more! Smells boring to me, would suit all seasons and inoffensive for the office I guess. My signature fragrance , I remember when I first fell in love with her , I was 13 and my friends sister had a bottle of this and I was in love , I didnt get a bottle until my first job and treasured that 1.7 ounce bottle forever , my humble beginnings, the notes send some electro magnetic charges through my body, this fragrance is sexy, sophisticated, cozy and makes a statement, Im that woman my little 13 year self would imagen she was , independent, classy, sexy , kind , sophisticated and confident . Thw parchuli is also way too dominant for my liking. In the opening, I'm hit with a waft of patchouli. A true modern classic. All scents Chanel are refined and beautiful. You cannot go wrong with this.would suit any woman of any age for any occasion. Almost even like a hairspray. The perfume was created by Jacques Polge in 2003. The heart encompasses hyacinth, jasmine and iris, while the base is composed of amber, patchouli, vetiver and white musk. Absolutely stunning. I feel like Chance EDT sometimes gets overlooked in favor of other Chanel fragrances nowadays, but it's one of my favorites from this house and rightfully a modern classic. It has sat, unloved at the back of my wardrobe. Marissa Zappas Announces A New Collection + A Giveaway! Lovely lovely! Chanel chance and coco mademoiselle could be sisters. Every now and then I'll steal a couple of spritzes when I'm in her closet. Everyone kept saying this is a high school scent but to me it's unisex and would suit 30-40 year old women better. I like it more than edp. Chance is so elegant and refined. Its very woody in the dry down. Chance is Coco Mmes sister who strays away from trends and likes to get lost in the woods. I returned Chance because I prefer my Coco Noir. Very fresh in cooler weather and more woody and patchouli in warmer weather. unisex. Nice to meet it on someone else, but not on me :). Or I will swap for a 100ml new/newish edp. I am not a person who loves Chanel simply because it is Chanel. can not believe. It lasts forever!Tried yesterday evening after 12 hours still sniffing my wrist.Ive tested 3-4 fragrances ( do not recommend to test more than 4 perfumes at once) and Chanel Chance was more memorable and characteristic than the others.I think Ive been prejudged Chanel perfumes to be as sharp and masculine except Chanel Allure butEach of them has a point, being masculine or crispness can not preclude the seduction of them.Thats why its in my wishlist :) So if you are looking for a fresh and dynamic fragrance can be worn all occasions with a pretty good perfomance, safe to say anybody to purchase. Try EDT if EDP is too heavy for you. Chance EDT reminds me of a fragrance I know, but I just can't pin it down. Chance is a classy springtime chypre that is appropriate for almost any occasion. Become a member of this online perfume community and you will be able to add your own reviews. I want to love this because the name Chanel is a classic. This one seems to be a chameleon! I think so, in the drydown. I would describe it as a burst of pink champagne. Wonderful sillage that lasts for hours. It is a very fresh floral with a touch of spice and citrus, perfect for office wear. First impression: more fruity, fresh and lighter on patchouli version of Coco Mademoiselle EDP. Hyacinths are in full bloom right now and so is Chance. There are pink pepper, lemon and pine apple in the top notes. It's just right. I asked my husband to order Chance Eau Fraiche and then he made a mistake and ordered Chance EDT. I don't think any perfume on the market smells as chic and elegant as this. I smell black pepper and lemon. Once the sharp opening notes are gone, it's one of the most pretty scents I've smelled. | Deutsch | Espaol | Franais | etina | Italiano | | Polski | Portugus | | | Nederlands | Srpski | Romn | | | | |, Copyrights 2006-2022 Fragrantica.com perfumes magazine - All Rights Reserved - do not copy anything without prior written permission. I gues it's the combination of jasmine and hiacynth what causes me a headache. Sometimes utterly feminine, sometimes more tomboyish, but always true to herself. 100% feminine, everyone can wear wtv they like but this was though out for women. HMMMM. what smells better than that? It was strong like really strong! But seriously this is one of the most elegantly classy fragrances that just never grows old or boring. After wearing it and seeing how it smells on me, I think I may add it to my collection. Chance edt does smell expensive. Again, gorgeous fragrance, again love the patchouli, again gone in 20 minutes WTH.
I needed an up lift in my life and wore this today. One of my all time favorites. Very nice balance. It's elegant and feminine. This starts out with promise and you can wear it all day thinking it smells good but the drydown is just awful. You can wear it all the year and in any occasion and it is never boring. High fashion sexy confident scent. Horrible! I can get 2, maybe 3 hours of wear if Im lucky. What has not been said about Chance? I think it's not one of Chanel's best creations being to sweet and sickening. OMG! Lol! And I think you can really smell the top, middle and bottom notes through the day, definitely not monotone.
I thought some chemical reaction must of happened there with the pool water. if you add Ginger and Insence to Chance you end up with Bleu (edt)IMO. Unfortunately, on my skin, i get a distinct urine note with Chance. Epicene Gamma IFF: The Common Part of Spicy Men's Colognes of the 1980s? Lighter and fresher than the EDP. I love Chanel because they know how to use patchouli. The base notes of Chance are incredibly creamy smooth. So far, have sniffed it on paper only. I asked her what it was and she told me. The dry down is earthy and very nice. Pink Pepper and Amber Patchouli or maybe the Cumarin are the first notes that hit my nose then it turns sweet with the Vanilla, Lemon, and Geranium, however that Aldehydes are quite intense that I sense a mixture of citric and floral sweet dry fragrancesmells like a rare Champagne, Cheers! "Tart" is a great way to describe this fragrance. This is the only non-Les Exclusifs Chanel I can tolerate, and I love this one. Its is a pretty, joyful scent, but it just does not last on me. She is not too sexy but not too innocent either. It was absolutely intoxicating. I try not to cheat as that first spritz when I am on the way to the airport it so joyous, although I have had trouble in the past getting through security with the bottle one of those marvellous perfumes that I can smell from a mile off and go AHHHH Chance! It gives me an almost pencil-shaving like vibe, but it's somehow still good? 10/10. Something went wrong. The pineapple really stands out. Just wow. Love this, I first bought this in high school. I wasn't expecting to love this one so much since I prefer sweet scents. Summer in TX does start mid-March after all. I know I'm in the minority here. I tried this a couple of months ago and really liked it so I got myself a bottle. Give chance a chance. Chance by Chanel reminds me of Dove's Cucumber and Greentea Shower cream! They are known for their classics, but to me, those haven't aged well and tend to come off as somewhat unmodern and outdated. The EDT lasts forever. I'm normally a sweet/floral type of girl, but this particular fragrance has such a classic, sophisticated scent to it and it just makes me feel more confident. And also versatile, you can wear night or day. . Very pleasant yet enchanting.
The scent of the new bottle is weaker than the older bottle. I know that sounds absurd, but as a patchouli lover, I can always appreciate a good patchouli fragrance and Chanel is the master of blending it to perfection. In my opinion, it smells very peppery and chemical and I got a strong and sharp kitchen lemon soap scent coming through it just wasnt for me. Masterful patchouli. I still love the smell of Chance, it has that classic Chanel smell that I've always loved. I don't know why it's taken me so long to write a review on Chance. To me, Chance smells so exquisite, feminine and seductive, yet laid back and unpretentious! Recently it has been very hot and I am in the midst of theatre rehearsals in quite an airless space. If I had to choose a signature scent, this would be it, as it provokes joy whenever I spritz it from my handbag refill bottle. The perfume itself is sweet(not overly sweet) yet fresh. It makes me happy. This one is light and beautiful, it has a slight sweetness but its not overbearing. I think it's fine as sort of a change from perfumes I wear daily (especially during the winter), but not as everyday fragrance. 5 in the drydown, but it has its own character, it is softer, fresher, more streamlined and with a slight cologne briskness. The opening blasts with citrus but I like that. Patchouli! Love it. I think this is an unisex fragrance. It's very floral, sweet and powdery.
After it dried down it became a piece of Chanel art. Great for spring and summer ! Its smells really good sexy and fresh for woman. I highly recommend this. Amazing if you're looking for something feminine and pretty BUT still stands out from the average perfumes out there. Defintiely heavier and more noticeable, too. I don't get the pineapple note in the opening, only the lemon, which is a shame because I love pineapple! It's very distinct, not something that just fades and you start forgetting you have on. I adore this Chanel perfume, but Id still say Eau Tendre is my favorite. Fragrance Reviews: 1,286,753 Effortless and calming while being serious at the same time. Reminds me an older noble woman wearing pink dress. I can't see it much special . But it has a harsh/bitter note on my skin that makes it intolerable to enjoy. Sprayed on my lower arm, this has a strong pencil shaving/peppery quality, and somewhat non-descript. Or maybe that's just my mom :). This one is just classic. Very reminiscent of Mademoiselle without the heavy citrus and floral notes. !Very feminine, modern, bright, clean, and classy. Not a typical mainstream fragrance. The composition is simple but intriguing,Very luminous and youthful fragrance,or at least for those who still feel young, Im layering this with a brown sugar scented body spray right now and wow. After about 2 hours, it starts to grow on me, but I'm still not entirely convinced. I wore it for years in the warm months. I first discovered my love for this fragrance many years ago and every now and then, Ill pick it up and be surprised all over again. This is gorgeous. It's more vetiver than patchouli. If Coco Mademoiselle is the gorgeous tan housewife past her prime, drunk on Moscato, flirting with everyone at the party, then Chance is her prim blonde daughter glaring at her from the other side of the room, cautiously sipping her Ros. Smells just like the EDP but doesn't last as long. i found it just right not only to my nose but it seemed meant to be since the name is chance =) i feel empowered by it. I tried this fragrance a while ago and it smelled like bug spray to me. For some reason, pink pepper doesn't seem to bother me as much in Chanel perfumes as it normally does. Pretty good longevity and nice sillage .
