My wife is disabled and I push her round in a wheelchair. Especially during the holiday season it is much faster to use the ferries than driving around Lake Garda by car. I would however say that the lake is too big to cover too much in one day. Specifically, I would like to visit Sirmione, but stay somewhere else within ferry distance. You could get to the North of the lake by bus or ferry but I dont think it would be a good idea if you are only visiting for the day as the traveling time would take too much out of your day. therefore without a car, it looks like we are stuck here or need to get a bus (cant find a local bike rental either).
